Pearl Louise Urfer, 79, of Yale, IL passed away at 1:50 P.M. on Thursday June 8, 2017 at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong, IL.
Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Monday June 12, 2017 at Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, IL.
Celebration of Pearl’s Life will be at 1:00 P.M. on Monday June 12, 2017 at Pulliam Funeral Home Oblong. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery.

Louise was born on November 28, 1937 in Jasper County, IL to Charley and Edna (Miller) Martin. In September of 1967 she married Delmar Lee Urfer who survives.
Louise was a retired elementary school teacher. She had taught at Buckley, IL and Willow Hill, IL. She had received her teaching degree from Eastern Illinois University in 1960. She was also a farmer’s wife. She was a member of the New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church aka Old Hickory Church rural Yale, IL, Newton Township High School Class of 1956 and the Willow Hill Ruritan Club. Louise loved to read, work in the garden and was a very good seamstress.
Louise is survived by her husband Delmar Urfer, Yale, IL; one son Randy Urfer, Willow Hill, IL; two daughters and a son-in-law Diana and Craig Boyd, Hutsonville, IL, Mary Rogers, Brazil, IN; four grandchildren Patrick T. Boyd, Alexander E. Boyd, Timothy Charles Rogers and Aaron Michael Rogers. Louise is also survived by four sisters and brothers-in-law Juanita Martin, Yale, IL, Joyce and Ivan Bennett, Casey, IL, Betty and Jack Huber, Yale, IL and Pat and Jim Bowen, Yale, IL, along with several nieces and nephews.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents.
